Our motivation.
We know how beneficial second language acquisition can be.
The advantages for bilingual children range from cognitive benefits to an expanded job market in their future. On a personal level, bilingualism offers more opportunities to communicate, travel, and immerse oneself in a new culture.
We also know that not all children are afforded equal access to the various educational French experiences that are vital to develop fluency and proficiency in the language.
Our mission.
CT Espoir is proud to support children in their bilingual journey regardless of their income level.
We offer subsidized access to French in-person summer camps, as well as French virtual camps and classes. We are partnered with Camp Tournesol and Brouillet Academy to provide fun and enriching experiences for young French learners. We also work to bring French workshops to local disadvantaged schools free of charge.
Since 2011, we have welcomed over 500 disadvantaged children to the Camp Tournesol French day camps and since 2020 have provided dozens of spots in Camp T’s virtual French camps.
